Thank you for volunteering to be a Moderator for Hot or Not!
It is important that you read and understand the Moderator's Guide and FAQ.
These are the rules of the road you must follow. Moderating activity is monitored by the people Jim and James
have put in charge of deciding what is and is not appropriate for the site,
and the thousands of Moderators, the Moderator Administrators. Helping them are a dedicated group of Mod Managers.
In instances where the Moderator appears unclear of the rules, he/she will receive a "Heads-up" or "Warning" e-mail ("Ticket").
Depending on the severity of the mistake, your accuracy rating could be lowered.
If you try your best to follow the guidelines, this should not be a problem.
If we find you doing an exceptional job, voting according to the Guide and FAQ and catching things your
fellow Mod's didn't, don't be surprised to get a "Thumbs-Up" email, congratulating you for doing a good job.
If you receive a ticket, we request that you take the time to respond, and perhaps explain what happened;
if you just plain made a mistake, or were experiencing some type of difficulty.
We can only see how you voted, not why.
If you are contacted by an Administrator or Mod Manager, either by email or instant message, please be polite,
respectful and professional. They are volunteers, just like you. Failure to communicate, respond to or
follow the directions of Administrators could result in your account being suspended.
Take your time when you moderate. Although we provide you with a ranking, to better check your production, modding is not a race!
Accuracy is more important than total number of pictures.
Your moderator privileges will be revoked if you routinely approve profiles that violate our guidelines.
This decision is made only by Moderator Administrators, and is based on several factors, including accuracy, number
of tickets received, ratio of accepts/rejects and length of service. While being a moderator is meant to be fun,
it also carries with it a obligation to uphold the guidelines of the site.
Finally, always remember that modding and Hot or Not are meant to be fun! It's about rating pictures,
nothing more serious than that.
If at some point you no longer wish to be a moderator, please let us know by sending an email to:

Happy Modding!!
